Sunday morning in the park!

I have been under the weather for a while and today I woke up feeling great!  So I decided I needed to escape the house and go to the park for some fresh air!   A beautiful day to me....of course the first thing I see is the swans....

The usual Canada Geese and Mallards were there.

As I drove around the loop, something caught my eye....a small duck splashing and doing wing spans and so I stopped to see what it was!

After it calmed down and was swimming away, I realized it was a Grebe!  I was amazed at how fast he could swim and of course "dive"

Now you see me and now you don't!

 But I caught a fish!

 Then something else caught my eye....

Hooded Mergansers....

They were fishing too!  Just as I got my camera focused in on them......DIVE! DIVE!

Yes got quite a few of these splash pictures.....then wait to see where they would pop back up!

They were so much fun to watch that I forgot to search for the duck we saw at Thanksgiving when we came to feed the ducks...

The Swan ate right out of her hand.

And I didn't see the tagged Canada Goose from Thanksgiving either....

I got on the internet and found a place to report the sighting and later I got this back....

Before I left I took a couple pictures of the park....

The Canada Geese flew in for landing....so neat to see that......

So another trip to the park is in order....but I had errands to run and got back in my car to go do them but I stopped to see if I could get a picture of the new Heron nests on the Scioto...this will be the third year.....

Got my errands completed and went home....was a great Sunday afternoon.....Hope yours was nice too...
